I'd say that's true, if not for the fact that I've met SOOOOOO many moms who are full-time, very successful published authors. There is NO reason a mom can't set aside time to write every day and find that creativity and energy. It's all about dedicating yourself to do it, if it's important to you. But if you enjoy mommy blogging, there's nothing wrong with that either. That's like someone saying a romance or kids book author isn't a "real author." It's all about expressing ourselves and sharing our thoughts with other people who grow by knowing us.Stephanie Farishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10461865229341760836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4131288126385666341.post-60987744451410754022010-09-28T15:58:54.938-07:002010-09-28T15:58:54.938-07:00I guess I have a different idea of what a "Mo...I guess I have a different idea of what a "Mommy Blogger" is. To me, those are the blogs that go on and on about the types and duration of their childrens' various bodily functions. Who proudly proclaim that they have the best/worst kids in the world. Who write in incomplete sentences and use an overabundance of exclamation points and ONLY talk about their children. Sometimes from their kids' point of view. I don't automatically dub every mom that blogs a mommy blogger. Even if they mostly write about their kids.

Yours has substance. Yours has style. Yours is so much more than a "mommy blog."

Not that there is anything wrong with mommy blogs.Karen M. While mom bloggers may not be blogging about ALL the things going on in their lives, they are blogging about the things that happen to mean the most to them at any given point in time. And, as the kids progress in age so does your blog...not as many outings and cute happenings opens the door for other things to be written about. And, sometimes it's just plain nice to read about someone elses kid driving them insane, too. I see it less as a label and more of a connection.

P.S. But I am a mom and I love being a mom and I write about family stuff and mommy stuff and kid stuff. Doesn't mean that is the only thing I write about!

Someone once used the term "life blogger."
