You think about it, you discuss it, you calm down. You wait patiently for the outcome. Even worst case scenario parents have to do this. You are a healthy person. I'm glad that amazing Hubster is re-assuring, and Bug is better.Bonniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01509744198516888727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4131288126385666341.post-77671061770704902132013-02-21T12:39:56.485-08:002013-02-21T12:39:56.485-08:00My brain does the same thing. Not necessarily related to what I've seen as a lawyer (though sometimes it is and those times are extra terrifying), but the worst case scenarios plague me. I'm pretty good at keeping them inside, but they are there. And since my brother - after what happened, after having a worst case scinario actually happen, it can be even worse.

I think every mother/parent has their panic switches. Whether it's medical, or accidents, or strangers, or anything. And I wonder if maybe having seen it makes it harder on us as mothers but better for our children (so long as we can keep it somewhat under control). Because, like you said, they always wear helmets and seatbelts and they get their vaccines.

Or, perhaps, I'm rambling...

I'm very, very glad his eye is ok!Urban Earthwormhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08506933556277171020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4131288126385666341.post-72358863519923699112013-02-19T20:53:13.674-08:002013-02-19T20:53:13.674-08:00My sis (a nurse) and b-i-l (a Dr.) are the least p...My sis (a nurse) and b-i-l (a Dr.) are the least panicky people I know. And when it comes to their kids? They take them to a different Dr. No self-diagnosis going on there. I guess they're the exception to the nurse/Dr. rule. lol!

And when I had a cold a couple months back, I coughed so hard that my eyes were bloodshot. Sis said (over the phone, mind you) "Don't worry. It'll go away." So much for having a medical person in the family. ; ) So. Cal.
